  World Ozone Day As per the Instructions of the Principal Dr.K.Vijaya Babu sir and in accordance with the Academic Calendar,  Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota observed World Ozone Day on 16 September 2026 to create awareness among students about the importance of the ozone layer and the need for its protection. The programme was organized jointly by the Department of Chemistry and NSS Unit. Programme Proceedings The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. M. Madhu, In-charge Principal and Lecturer in Chemistry. Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, NSS Programme Officer, coordinated the programme along with the Department of Chemistry and NSS volunteers. The significance of World Ozone Day was explained to the students. The speakers highlighted the role of the ozone layer in protecting life on Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation.   Health Awareness Programme  As per the instructions of our Principal Dr.K.Vijaya Babu sir and in accordance with the Academic Calendar,  Health Awareness Programme was organized at Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota on 08-09-2026 with the objective of creating awareness among students and staff about HIV/AIDS, its causes, modes of transmission, prevention and the importance of maintaining a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
