 Republic Day Celebrations 2026   Jan 26, 2026 — Government Degree College (GDC) Kamavarapukota marked India’s 77th Republic Day today with a grand ceremonial event on the college campus. The celebration, which commenced at 8:30 AM, was attended by faculty, staff, students, and distinguished members of the local community. ​The proceedings began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Dr. K. Vijaya Babu, Principal of GDC Kamavarapukota. Following the flag hoisting, the air was filled with patriotism as students D. Iswarya, M. Deepika, and K. Ragini performed "Vandematharam." ​The event featured a series of stirring speeches from students, including S. Pavithra and M. Durga, who reflected on the significance of the Constitution.  Special Guest Sri. G.   Grand Celebration of Sankranti 2026 Date: 09/01/2026 Sankranti celebrations were conducted in a grand manner at the college today under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. K. Vijaya Babu, and under the chairmanship of the In-charge Principal, Sri M. Malleswara Rao. The programme was jointly organized by the Department of Telugu and the Cultural Committee. On this occasion, In-charge Principal Sri M. Malleswara Rao addressed the students and advised them to follow and preserve our cultural traditions and to serve as role models for future generations. Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, Lecturer in the Department of Telugu, stated that Sankranti is a symbol of Telugu culture and traditions and emphasized that everyone should celebrate the festival with joy and enthusiasm.
