NATIONAL SMALL INDUSTRY DAY 2026
Aim
The main aim of observing National Small Industry Day 2026 on 30-08-2026 is to create awareness among students about the importance of small-scale industries in economic development, employment generation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth. The programme also aims to encourage students to develop entrepreneurial skills and explore opportunities in the MSME sector.
Objectives
To create awareness about the role and importance of small-scale industries in the Indian economy.
To understand the contribution of MSMEs to employment generation and economic development.
To motivate students towards entrepreneurship and self-employment.
To familiarize students with government schemes and support available for small industries and MSMEs.
Outcomes
Students gained a better understanding of the importance of small industries and MSMEs.
Students became aware of the employment and entrepreneurial opportunities available in the MSME sector.
The programme enhanced students’ interest in entrepreneurship and self-employment.
Students gained knowledge about government support, financial assistance and various MSME schemes.
Students developed awareness about innovation, digital technology and sustainable business practices.
Brief report
As per instructions of our college principal Dr. K. Vijaya Babu sir and in accordance with Academic Calendar, The Department of Commerce, Government Degree College Kamavarapukota, celebrated "National Small Industry day 2026" on 30th August in Commerce Lab yesterday. The day is observed to recognise the important contribution of small scale industries to the growth of the economy, employment generation, entrepreneurship, and rural development. Various activities such as speeches and discussions were organised as apart of celebrations.
This programme was conducted under guidance of Dr.G.Srinivasa Rao, IQAC Coordinator, other faculty members of the college and students are participated.
