CAREER GUIDANCE CELL & SETWEL - AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT & CAREER GUIDANCE

 Aim

To create awareness among students on the importance of personality development, career guidance, and the dangers of drug abuse and cybercrime.

Objectives

1. Personality Development: To help students understand the importance of personality development and provide them with tips and strategies for improving their communication skills, self-confidence, and emotional intelligence.

2. Career Guidance: To provide students with guidance on career choices and help them develop a career plan that aligns with their interests, skills, and values.

3. Drug Abuse: To create awareness among students on the dangers of drug abuse and provide them with information on the effects of drug abuse on physical and mental health.

4. Cyber Crime: To educate students on the dangers of cybercrime and provide them with tips and strategies for staying safe online.

Brief Report

The Career Guidance Cell, in collaboration with SETWEL (Youth Services), organized an awareness program focused on personality development, career guidance, drug abuse prevention, and cybercrime awareness at our college. The program was chaired by our incharge principal, Sri M. Malleswara Rao, and our IQAC Coordinator, Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao. During the event, K.S. Prabhakar, the CEO of SETWEL, explained how students can build their careers and emphasized the importance of the “3 Ds”: Discipline, Determination, and Dedication. The SETWEL manager, PVN Satyanarayana, and NCS representative, G.PraveenKumar, along with all staff members, participated in the program, which saw active involvement from students as well.

Outcomes

1. Students will have increased awareness on the importance of personality development, career guidance, and the dangers of drug abuse and cybercrime.

2. Students will have improved life skills, including communication skills, self-confidence, and emotional intelligence.

3.    They will be able to develop a career plan that aligns with their interests, skills, and values.

4. Reduced risk of drug abuse and will be able to make informed decisions about substance use.

5. Students will have improved online safety and will be able to protect themselves from cybercrime.
