Aim:

 To honor the legacy of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and inspire students with his contributions towards social reform, women’s education, and the upliftment of marginalized communities.

 Objectives:

  • To educate students about the life, works, and philosophy of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule.
  • To promote social awareness on issues like caste discrimination, gender inequality, and access to education.
  • To instill values of equality, justice, and compassion in students.
  • To foster a spirit of service and responsibility among youth toward nation-building and community development.

Brief Report:

 As per the instructions of Dr. K. Vijaya Babu, Principal of the Government Degree College, kamavarapukota and in accordance with the college's academic calendar, the Department of Political Science celebrates   "Mahatma Jyotirao Phule" Birth Anniversary celebrations in our college under the leadership of our in charge Principal M Malleswara Rao. The in-charge Principal M Malleswara Rao, who presided over the program garlanded the portrait of Phule and paid tribute. Later, the in-charge Principal M Malleswara Rao gave a speech and praised the services of the great social reformer Jyotirao pule, who fought against caste discrimination in our country and provided rights to the backward and weaker sections and educational opportunities to women. 

Then-charge Principal M Malleswara Rao, I. Q. A.  Coordinator Dr. G Srinivasa Rao, faculty members M Usharani, K Indira Kumari, Dharavathu Malleswara Rao, B Venkateswara Rao, P Yedukondalu, M Vijaya Krishna, Non-teaching staff and students participated in this event.


Learning Outcomes:

1. Increased Awareness: Students gain deeper understanding of Phule’s contributions to social reform, women’s education, and caste equality.

2. Inspiration for Social Change: His life story can inspire students to work towards equality, justice, and inclusive development

3.Promotion of Inclusivity: Reinforces the importance of equal opportunities for marginalized communities
