 Global Handwashing Day 

As per the instructions of Dr. K. Vijaya Babu, Principal of Kamaravapukota Government Degree College, and according to the college’s academic calendar On October 15, 2025, the Department of Zoology in collaboration with NSS, Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota, Eluru District, organized a significant event to commemorate Global Handwashing Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of hand hygiene in preventing diseases and promoting public health.

Key Highlights:

Handwashing Demonstration: Students and faculty members participated in a handwashing demonstration, showcasing the proper technique of washing hands with soap and water 

Objective:

The primary objective of the event was to educate students and the community about the significance of handwashing in preventing diseases and promoting public health. By adopting good hand hygiene practices, individuals can significantly reduce the risk of contracting and spreading infectious diseases.

Outcome:

The event successfully raised awareness about the importance of hand hygiene and encouraged students and faculty members to adopt good handwashing practices in their daily lives. By promoting hand hygiene, the event contributed to the overall well-being of the community, aligning with the theme of Global Handwashing Day 2025: "Be a Handwashing Hero".
