As per the instructions of our Principal Dr.K.Vijaya Babu and in accordance with the Academic calender,Savitribai Phule Jayanthi was solemnly observed on 03 January 2026 in the college campus with the objective of remembering the life, work, and contributions of Savitribai Phule, the first woman teacher of India and a great social reformer.

The programme was conducted under the chairmanship of the Incharge Principal, Sri M. Malleswara Rao, and organised by the NSS Unit under the supervision of the NSS Programme Officer, Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao. The programme witnessed the active participation of teaching staff and students.

The programme began with floral tributes to the portrait of Savitribai Phule, followed by an inaugural address. Speakers highlighted her relentless efforts towards women’s education, eradication of social evils, and upliftment of the marginalized sections of society. Her courage, dedication, and vision were presented as a source of inspiration for students, especially girl students.

S. Pavithra, II B. Com, D. Ishwarya II B. Com and M. Durga II B. A delivered speeches emphasizing Savitribai Phule’s role in promoting education, equality, and social justice. The staff members also addressed the gathering, stressing the relevance of her ideals in contemporary society and encouraging students to follow her path of service and social responsibility.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Incharge Principal, NSS Programme Officer, staff, and students for making the event meaningful and successful. The celebration served as a reminder of Savitribai Phule’s enduring legacy and reinforced the values of education, equality, and social reform among the participants.

Outcome:

The programme created awareness among students about Savitribai Phule’s contributions and motivated them to uphold the principles of social equality and inclusive education.
