International Mother Language Day

As per the instructions of our Principal Dr.K. Vijaya Babu and in accordance with the Academic Calendar, International Mother Language Day was celebrated on 21st February 2026 in the college with great enthusiasm and active participation from all staff and students. The programme was organized by the Department of Telugu under the guidance of the Incharge Principal and Head of the Department of Telugu, Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao.
On this occasion, Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of mother tongue in preserving culture, traditions, and identity. He emphasized that language is the foundation of knowledge and encouraged students to respect and promote their mother language in their academic and personal lives.
As part of the celebrations, various competitions and cultural activities were conducted.
Poster Presentation:
A poster presentation competition was organized to create awareness about the significance of mother languages. Students displayed their creativity and ideas effectively.

Second Prize: Sk. Y. Sulthana, II B.Sc
Poetry Recitation
A poetry recitation competition was conducted to showcase students’ literary talent and love for their mother tongue.
First Prize: K. Prashanthi, II B.Com
Second Prize: Seetha Devi, II B.A
Cultural Activities:
Students actively participated in cultural programmes such as songs, dances, and short performances related to the importance of language and culture. The performances were well appreciated by the audience.
The programme concluded successfully with active involvement from faculty members and students. The celebration reinforced the importance of preserving and promoting mother languages for future generations.
