Har Ghar Tiranga Awareness and Plantation Programme organized by NSS Unit 

As per the instructions of our Principal Dr.K.Vijaya Babu sir and AKNU NSS Cell circular The Har Ghar Tiranga Programme was organized by the NSS Unit, Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota, under the guidance of Dr. M. Madhu, In-charge Principal, and the coordination of Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, NSS Programme Officer.

The Plantation is essential for protecting the environment and maintaining ecological balance. Trees provide oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide, reduce air pollution, prevent soil erosion, conserve water, and help control climate change. Plantation programmes also increase green cover and create a healthier and more beautiful surroundings. For students and NSS volunteers, such activities develop environmental awareness, social responsibility, teamwork, and a sense of service to society. Therefore, regular plantation and proper care of saplings are important steps towards building a greener, cleaner, and sustainable future.

On 13-08-2026, the “Ane Nenu” Pledge, Har Ghar Tiranga Awareness Rally and Plantation Programme were organized. Staff, students and NSS volunteers participated actively in the pledge and rally and spread awareness about patriotism, national unity and responsible citizenship. The plantation activity promoted environmental awareness and the importance of protecting nature.

Promoted the habit of planting and caring for saplings among NSS volunteers.

Contributed to improving the green cover and beautification of the college campus.

Helped students understand the role of trees in reducing pollution and maintaining ecological balance.

Supported the NSS objective of “Not Me But You” through community-oriented environmental service.

Motivated students and staff to continue plantation and sapling-care activities in the future.
