OZONE DAY CELEBRATIONS 2025

As per the instructions of the college Principal Dr.K.Vijaya Babu and in accordance with the academic calendar Ozone Day was celebrated at Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota on 16th September 2025 in the Seminar Hall with the active participation of students, staff, and the NSS Unit.

The programme was presided over by Sri M. Malleswara Rao, In-charge Principal, who stressed the importance of protecting the environment and creating awareness on ozone layer depletion.

Smt. M. Usha Rani, Department of Chemistry, delivered an insightful lecture on the theme of World Ozone Day, explaining the significance of the ozone layer in sustaining life and the measures to be taken to safeguard it.

Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, NSS Programme Officer, along with staff members, coordinated the programme successfully. Students presented speeches, essays, and posters highlighting the need for sustainable practices to protect the environment.

The Chairperson, in his presidential address, appreciated the efforts of the Chemistry Department and the NSS Unit in organizing the programme and motivated students to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.

The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
