The Abhaya team conducted awareness programme in our college is an initiative to promote awareness and support for women’s safety and well-being.

Aim:

The primary aim of the Abhaya team visit is to create a safe and supportive environment for women students in UG colleges, and to provide them with the necessary resources and support to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.

Objectives:

1. Awareness Creation;To create awareness among women students about the importance of safety and well-being, and the resources available to them.

2. Support System: To establish a support system for women students, including counseling, mentoring, and peer support.

3. Empowerment: To empower women students to take control of their lives, make informed decisions, and assert their rights.

4. Safety Measures’: To identify and address safety concerns on campus, and to implement measures to prevent harassment and violence.

5. Collaboration: To collaborate with college authorities, faculty, and staff to create a safe and supportive environment fo women students 

Brief Report

Today at the college, the Eluru District Police Department conducted an important educational program for students on critical issues such as women’s protection, cybersecurity, and the fight against child marriage, through the “Abhaya Vihaan” initiative. Local Tadikalapudi Sub-Inspector Chenna rao inspired students with valuable insights on safeguarding women and staying vigilant against cyber threats. He urged students to dedicate themselves to their studies to reach new heights in their future endeavors. This impactful event was attended by College In-Charge Principal M. Malleswaram rao, IQAC Coordinator Dr. G. Srinivasa rao, faculty members, the Abhaya team, and an enthusiastic group of students.

Outcomes

1. Increased Awareness.

2. Support System Establishment; Establishment of a support system for women students.

3. Empowered Women Students: Empowered women students who are confident, assertive, and able to take control of their lives.

4. Improved Campus Safety: Improved campus safety, including reduced incidents of harassment and violence.

5. Collaborative Environment: A collaborative environment between college authorities, faculty, staff, and students to create a safe and supportive environment for women students.
