Topic                  : "The Influence of Caste in Indian Politics". 

AIM: 

To provide students with expert insights, practical knowledge beyond the academic curriculum. It enhances their learning experience by bringing real-world perspectives from professionals, academicians.

Brief Report:

As per the instructions of Dr. K. Vijaya Babu, Principal of the Government Degree College, kamavarpukota and in accordance with the college's academic calendar, a guest lecture was organized today under the auspices of the Political Science Department on the topic "The Influence of Caste in Indian Politics," presided over by In-charge Principal M. Malleswara Rao.


The chief guest for this program was M. Srinivasa Rao, Lecturer in Political Science at CSTS Government Degree College, Jangareddygudem. He explained the theories related to the origin and development of the caste system and briefly discussed the influence of caste in contemporary Indian politics.
Subsequently, Lecturer M. Srinivasa Rao was felicitated with a shawl by the faculty and students. In-charge Principal M. Malleswara Rao, IQAC Coordinator Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, faculty members M. Usharani, K. Indira Kumari, Dharavathu Mallesh, P. Yedukondalu, M. Vijaya Krishna Uma, along with non-teaching staff and students participated in the program.


Learning Outcomes:


       Understanding Caste and Politics.

       Analyze how political parties use caste as a tool for vote-bank politics and identity-based mobilization. 

       Assess how caste-based voting patterns influence elections, candidate selection, and coalition politics.
