Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota, celebrated National Education Day on 11th November 2025 in the Seminar Hall to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India and a great freedom fighter, scholar, and visionary leader.

The program was presided over by Dr. K. Vijaya Babu, Principal of the College. In his presidential address, he highlighted the contributions of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad to the development of education in India, especially in promoting scientific and modern education while preserving cultural values.

The event was organized by the NSS Unit under the guidance of Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, NSS Programme Officer. He emphasized the importance of education in shaping responsible citizens and urged students to follow the ideals of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

On this occasion, students delivered speeches on the theme of education and national development. An essay writing and elocution competition were also conducted to mark the day.

The program concluded with the National Anthem.
