Report on Swarna Andhra – Swachha Andhra (SASA) Programme 

 

Date: 20-06-2026 (Third Saturday)

Venue: Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota

As per the instructions of our Principal Dr.K.Vijaya Babu sir and in accordance with the Academic Calendar , As part of the Government of Andhra Pradesh's Swarna Andhra – Swachha Andhra (SASA) initiative, a cleanliness programme was organized at Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota on 20 June 2026.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of sri. M. Malleswara Rao, In-charge Principal, and coordinated by Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, SASA Coordinator. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students actively participated in the programme.

During the activity, the participants cleaned the college campus, classrooms, laboratories, and surrounding areas. Plastic waste was collected and disposed of properly, and awareness was created on waste segregation, environmental protection, and maintaining personal and public hygiene. Students were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly practices and contribute towards a clean and green campus.

A Swachha Andhra Pledge was administered to all participants, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining cleanliness and protecting the environment. The programme concluded successfully with a call for collective responsibility in building a cleaner and healthier Andhra Pradesh.
