TOPIC : Parliamentary System in India

AIM : 

The program aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the functioning and significance of the parliamentary form of government in India.

Objectives: 

1. To understand the concept of Parliamentary System and its basic features in India.

2. To explain the structure of Parliament, including the roles of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

3. To create awareness about the functioning of the Indian government under the Parliamentary system.

4. To understand the relationship between the Executive and Legislature.

Brief Report: 

             As per the instructions of the Principal, Dr. K. Vijaya Babu, and in accordance with the Academic Calender A “Guest Lecture” program was organized by the Department of Political Science under the leadership of the In-charge Principal M. Malleswara Rao in the college on the topic “Parliamentary System in India”. The chief guest was Sri K. Hari Prasad, Lecturer in Political Science, Government Degree College, Chintalapudi, Briefly explained features, structure, and powers of the Parliament, which is the central legislature of India. He also created awareness among the students about the law-making process. Later, staff members and all the students joined together to honour the political science lecturer K Hari Prasad.  In-charge Principal M. Malleswara Rao, IQAC Coordinator Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, faculty members M Usharani, K Indira kumari, Dharavathu Malleswara Rao, B.Raju, P.Yedukondalu, M. Vijaya Krishna, P Kalpana and students are actively participated in this event.


Outcomes:

1. Students gained clear knowledge about the structure of the Indian Parliament, including the roles of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

2. Learners understood the legislative, executive, and financial functions of the Parliament.
