 As per the instructions of our Principal, Dr. K. Vijaya Babu, sir,On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Potti Sreeramulu, a commemorative program was organized in the college on 16th March 2026. The event aimed to create awareness among students about the life, sacrifices, and contributions of the মহান freedom fighter.

The program was presided over by Sri M. Malleswara Rao, Incharge Principal, who served as the Chairperson of the event. In his address, he highlighted the significance of Sreeramulu’s sacrifice for the formation of Andhra State and emphasized the importance of dedication and selflessness in public service.

The program was organized by Sri P. Yedukondalu, Lecturer in History, with the active support of staff and students. He delivered an informative speech on the life history of Potti Sreeramulu, explaining his role in the freedom movement and his fast-unto-death which led to the formation of Andhra State in 1953.

Students actively participated in the event by delivering speeches, presenting essays, and sharing their views on the importance of Sreeramulu’s ideals in today’s society. The program encouraged students to imbibe values such as patriotism, sacrifice, and commitment.

The teaching and non-teaching staff extended their cooperation in organizing the event successfully. The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chairperson, organizer, staff, and students for their valuable participation.

Outcome

The program successfully created awareness among students about the life and sacrifices of Potti Sreeramulu and inspired them to contribute positively to society.
