 Implementation of Women’s Reservation Bill, 2023 (Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam)

Theme of the Event : “Focused on transforming from "Women Development to Women-led Development".

Brief report: As per the instruction of CCE an awareness programme on “STREE SHAKTHI “was conducted by Women Empowerment Cell under the chairman ship of In-charge Principal sri M.Malleswara rao . In this programme WEC co-ordinator K.Indira kumari created awareness on NARI SHAKTHI VANDAN ADHINIYAM and AP Government Women Welfare Schemes among students. On this occasion Elocution ,Essay writing competitions were conducted on “STREE SHAKTHI” (NARI SHAKTHI). All the Teaching &Non Teaching staff and students were participated enthusiastically and made the program big success.

Resolutions :

Sunset Clause: The reservation is initially set for a period of 15 years from the date of commencement. It can be extended by Parliament if deemed necessary.

​Rotation of Seats: Reserved seats will be rotated after every subsequent delimitation exercise to ensure different constituencies benefit from the reservation over time.

​Vertical vs. Horizontal: The 33% is a "horizontal" reservation, meaning it cuts across categories (General, SC, and ST).

 

Pledge :

Nari Shakti ka Samman, Viksit Bharat ki Pehchaan" (Respect for Women's Power is the Identity of a Developed India).
