As per the instructions of our Principal Dr.K.Vijaya Babu sir and in accordance with the Academic Calendar, Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota celebrated English Language Day on 23rd April 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from both staff and students.

The programme was presided over by Chairperson Sri M. Malleswara Rao, Lecturer in English. In his address, he highlighted the importance of the English language as a global medium of communication and its role in education, employment, and personality development. He also emphasized the significance of celebrating English Language Day, which marks the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare.

The event began with a welcome address, followed by various activities conducted for students. Competitions such as essay writing, elocution, and quiz were organized to encourage students to improve their language skills and confidence. Students actively participated and showcased their talents in speaking and writing English.

Faculty members also addressed the gathering and motivated students to develop effective communication skills in English for academic and professional success.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the organizers, participants, and staff members for making the event successful.
