A Swachh Andhra – Swarna Andhra cleanliness and awareness programme was conducted at Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota, on 19-09-2026. The programme aimed to promote cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and active participation of students in building a clean and healthy society.

Objectives

To create awareness about cleanliness and sanitation.

To encourage students to maintain a clean campus and surroundings.

To promote proper waste segregation and disposal.

To develop environmental responsibility among students.

To encourage community participation in the Swachh Andhra – Swarna Andhra initiative.

Activities

Cleanliness activities were undertaken on the college campus.

Students and staff participated actively in cleaning the surroundings.

Awareness was created on avoiding littering and maintaining personal and public hygiene.

Students were encouraged to follow the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

Participants were sensitized about their responsibility towards a clean and green Andhra Pradesh.

Outcomes

Students developed greater awareness of cleanliness and sanitation.

The college campus and surrounding areas were improved through collective participation.

Students were motivated to adopt responsible waste-management practices.

The programme strengthened students’ sense of social and environmental responsibility.

The activity contributed to the vision of a Clean Andhra Pradesh and Swarna Andhra.
