 YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

As per the instructions of the Principal, Dr. K. Vijaya Babu, and in accordance with the Academic Calendar of the Collegiate Education Department, a “Youth Development Programme” was organized on 30-09-2026 under the joint auspices of the NSS Unit, Government Degree College, Kamavarapukota, and Mandalyze Company – AFRO Organization.

Aims of the Programme

  • To create awareness among students about the importance of youth development and responsible citizenship.
  • To motivate youth to stay away from bad habits, addictions, and intoxicating substances.
  • To create awareness about road safety rules and responsible road behaviour.
  • To educate students about cyber crimes, cyber safety, and responsible use of digital technology.
  • To develop computer knowledge and communication skills among students.
  • To encourage students to develop self-confidence, discipline, leadership qualities, and positive attitudes.
  • To motivate youth to actively participate in social service and nation-building activities.
  • To guide students towards healthy, productive, and successful careers.

Programme Proceedings

The programme was presided over by the In-charge Principal, Dr. M. Madhu. Addressing the gathering, he advised the youth to stay away from bad habits and work towards building a bright and successful future through discipline, education, and positive values.

The Chief Guest, SI K. Valli Padmaja, Tadikalapudi Police Station, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of following road safety rules. She also created awareness about cyber crimes, cyber frauds, and online safety.

Dr. Vijaya Saradhi, Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre, Kamavarapukota, advised the youth to stay away from intoxicating and harmful substances and emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Sri G. Keshava Rao, Secretary, College Development Committee, encouraged the youth to become responsible citizens and actively participate in the development of the nation.

Sri P. Vijay Prasad, Project Manager, AFRO Organization, emphasized the importance of acquiring computer knowledge and communication skills for students' academic and professional development.

Outcomes of the Programme

  • Students gained awareness about road safety and traffic rules.
  • Students were sensitized to cyber crimes and online safety.
  • Awareness was created regarding the harmful effects of addictions and intoxicating substances.
  • Students understood the importance of computer literacy and communication skills.

  • The programme encouraged students to develop discipline, confidence, leadership qualities, and social responsibility.
  • Students were motivated to contribute to social development and nation-building.
  • The programme contributed to the overall personality development and empowerment of youth.
