                        Celebration of  World Tourism Day

                                                                      

 Aim

 To celebrate world tourism day which was established by UNTO in 1980 to recognize the importance of travel for social cultural and economic development

Objectives

To raise awareness about the significant role that tourism plays in fostering cultural exchange, economic growth

To educate students about the importance of tourism on a global scale and it's influence on social cultural and political values

To encourage responsible travel practices that minimize environmental impact and prioritize the importance of local communities....i.e. sustainable tourism                                                   

 Brief Report

Celebration of  World Tourism Day in government degree college Kamavarapukota under the chairmanship of our college in-charge principal M. Malleswara Rao, our NSS program officer Dr. G. Srinivas Rao. Principal sir addressed the gathering spoke about the importance of tourism in developing countries like India. All the teaching and non teaching staff, students participated in the program.

Outcomes:

  • Students developed their knowledge about the role tourism plays in the over all development of the Country
  • Students vowed to follow the practices  pertaining to sustainable tourism
  • Students got to know about the  economic social and cultural impacts of tourism.
