Aim:

Department of Chemistry organized a guest lecture that provides students with valuable insights and knowledge from an expert in the field, enhancing their academic experience and fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter.


 Objectives

1. To provide students with exposure to real-world applications and industry trends.

2. To facilitate knowledge sharing and exchange between students and the guest speaker.

3. To inspire and motivate students to explore new ideas and perspectives.

4. To enhance the academic curriculum by incorporating contemporary and relevant topics.

5. To foster networking opportunities between students, faculty, and the guest speaker.

BRIEF REPORT:

 As per the suggestion of the Principal, Dr.K.Vijaya Babu and as documented in the Academic Calendar, the "Guest Lecture" program was organized by the Chemistry Department under the leadership of In-charge Principal M. Malleswara Rao at the college. The chief guest,  Dr. Thumupati Prashant, a research scientist from Virginia Commonwealth University in America and a native of Kamavarapukota, briefly explained the process of manufacturing medicines that help inhibit cancer cells and the role of chemistry in the medicine manufacturing process. Following his talk, students and faculty members joined together to  honor the young research scientist Dr. T. Prashant. In-charge Principal M. Malleswara Rao, I.Q.A.C. Coordinator Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, faculty members M. Usharani, K. Indira Kumari, Dharavathu Malleswara Rao, P. Edukondalu, M. Vijaya Krishna, Uma, and students participated in the event.

OUTCOMES 


1.Students demonstrate increased interest and participation in the subject matter.

2. Students gain new insights and perspectives on the topic, enhancing their knowledge and understanding.

3. Students are inspired and motivated by the guest speaker's experiences and achievements.
