        National Voter’s Day

AIM: -

  • To raise awareness about the importance of voting and to encourage young people to participate in the democratic process.
  • This day promotes the value of casting votes in elections and emphasizes the role of an informed electorate in shaping the future of the country.

Objectives: -

  • Educating students about the significance of their right to vote and the electoral process
  • Encouraging eligible students to register as voters and ensure they are aware of the registration process.
  • Inspiring the younger generation to become active participants in democracy and understand the power of their vote.
  • Highlighting the responsibility of citizens to vote in elections and contribute to the development of the nation.

 

Brief Report: -

  • The 15th "National Voters' Day" program was organized grandly by the Political Science Department in collaboration with the NSS Department under the leadership of In-charge Principal M Malleswara Rao at the college. Presiding over this program, In-charge Principal M Malleswara Rao said that everyone should be aware of the importance of voting right and should exercise their vote freely without any temptation and choose the best leadership. Later, a "Pledge" and an "Awareness Rally" were organized on the use of voting right. In-charge Principal M Malleswara Rao presented prizes to the winners of Essay writing and Elocution competitions organized on this occasion. In-charge Principal M Malleswara Rao, N.S.S Coordinator Dr. G Srinivasa Rao, faculty members M Usharani, K Indira Kumari, Dharavathu Malleswara Rao, P Yedukondalu, M Vijaya Krishna, K. Uma, staff and students participated in this event.

 Out Comes: -

  • Celebrations can inspire students to become more politically engaged, motivating them to vote in future elections. It encourages a sense of civic responsibility among young adults. 
  • Engaging students early on, NVD can help increase voter turnout in the long term, as students are more likely to vote when they feel informed and motivated.
